What inspired YOU to want to start inspiring others?

When I saw what the ‘go for no’ philosophy did for me and how fear failure and rejection stops so many people from reaching their goals and dreams, I became wildly passionate about sharing this message.

What are your favorite online tools? How do you use them to be productive?

  1. I love picmonkey.com – It is an online image editor but with a ton of bells and whistles and I am no graphic designer! So it’s an easy, fast, way to make great looking, fun images for my facebook page.

  2. Obviously followupcc to keep organized on my to-dos. Getting rid of the to-do list and going to an all email follow up program.

  3. I like using bufferapp – it’s a great way to schedule out a few social media posts. I try not to overdo because I believe in being ‘live’ but it is nice because you can schedule a few things to go out at certain times across all your social platforms. So, if you have things you’d like to make sure get posted, they can be scheduled.

In general, what does “Go for No” stand for? Give us an overview of your mission / goals (already accomplished and/or in the process of achieving)! Do you have any videos that we can watch?

Go for No! is a short 80 page business fable. The strategy is to think differently about failure, rejection, and hearing NO. We teach people that instead of avoiding failure, and trying not to be rejected, those things are on the path to achieving the success you are looking for. Hiding in your home office or a coffee shop never sold anything; you’ve got to get out there and fail your way to success. In that way, it comes down to the subtitle of our book; Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There.  We are still hoping to sell one million copies of the book. We are just over 300,000 as of now. We have a long way to go, but we will not give up!

What’s just one of your many business secrets that you can share with us?

Yes! We call it, Influence the Influencers. When you are looking to reach a target market with a product or service, go to the people who are the influencers in that marketplace. Get to know them, build a relationship and add value to their mission. Then later, they can help you reach your ultimate customer because they know you and since they are influential with the audience you are looking for, it will be faster and easier than you doing it on your own.

What project(s) are you currently working on – if any at all? Whether or not you’re working on a project, tell us about what you like to do with your free time!

We are launching a kickstarter campaign in a few weeks for a totally unique project that is part helping people learn how to publish their own book and part our new book series, a paranormal suspense with a motivational message.

Advice for young entrepreneurs?

The good news is I think entrepreneurs, particularly younger ones, have many of the ideal traits already: they don’t overthink things, they’re willing to try and fail, and they understand that ‘done is better than perfect.’ So I say, keep doing that!

Advice for everyone?

There is a tendency to think that whole world is watching us and waiting for us to fail. One of my favorite sayings (from a book by Helen Fielding) is ‘No one is thinking about you, they’re thinking about themselves just like you.’ So, don’t let the opinions or two seconds of judgement you might get from someone else, deter you from what you truly love to do.
